Biography

Trained at the Conservatory of Angers where he studied piano, Pierre-André Athané, passionate about improvisation and composition, completed his training in Paris in writing, harmony, orchestration, jazz arrangement, as well as in singing and theater. He is known for his compositions for piano, chamber music and orchestra. They are regularly performed in concert. A composer of musicals and music for visual media (film, documentary, animation, video games), he is also the author of more than three hundred published musical works used in audiovisual productions worldwide. He was named “Chevalier des Arts et Lettres” by decree on May 25, 2023. Committed to teaching, he regularly takes part in training sessions for composers or production managers in film and audiovisual industries. He is also - Honorary President and former President of SNAC (National Union of Authors and Composers) - Founding member and former Vice-President of U2C (Union of Composers) - French observer delegate to ECSA (European Composer and Songwriter Alliance).
